📜 FROM THE COTTON CLUB TO COUNTY H: A MUSICAL LEGACY

Lake Geneva has always known how to throw a party — and live music has been part of its soul since the early days. Back in the 1920s, Lake Ivanhoe was a summer sanctuary for Black musicians from Chicago, echoing the Cotton Club era with jazz legends like Cab Calloway playing lakeside sets under the stars.

The tradition continued at the Riviera Ballroom, where artists like Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday made musical history on the Lake Geneva shoreline. Today, that rhythm still runs deep — and LG Jazz & Blues Fest is keeping the beat alive.
